For this project Eamon Mack, Cody Powell, and I were tasked with choosing a local park to create a scaffold for community to build from.

Process

After spending time at Victoria Park we gathered that the area was shared by diverse group of micro communities, but lacked any cross community interaction. We devised that the maybe the best way to inspire interaction between groups was to  create a literal scaffold that they could build together.

Result

inspired by Tinker-Toys, and Lego we designed a set of poles and connectors that could be combined in any number of ways so that the patrons of Victoria Park could explore and Build any thing they want. We wanted to make them out of strong and structural materials so that they could be used to make legit load bearing structures that both children and adults could enjoy.

The structure that holds the materials is made out of the materials.  Giving users and idea of how the system works and what it is.

We built a prototype app with the idea that it could be a foundation for different "builders" to see what was being made, inspire new techniques, conversation, and collaboration
